ps.
oh and ps. happy new year!
snow!
i came up to boston (okay, technically to sterling) yesterday instead of today, as originally planned, because my dad was worried about the snow. i was worried about driving on 3 hours of sleep. two nights ago was don’s annual holiday party. don lives in the penthouse of my building. but the party is worthy of its own post, not shmushed into some other one. because it is awesome.
anyway, i...
aubrey posted this list over at her blog, and i thought it was a pretty interesting way to take stock of accomplishments. the point is to highlight the things you have already done. she did it using color, but tumblr is pretty color-phobic. much easier to bold. by my count, i’m at 65. you?
1. Started your own blog 2. Slept under the stars 3. Played in a band 4. Visited Hawaii 5. Watched a...

catsitting
i have been cat sitting up in harlem with spotty internet and 6.5 straight hours of law and order on tnt. pippin has not tried to catch a cat in the past 3 hours. oh, and for the record, rondo is totally the best cat.
it looks like you have little mouse bites on the edge of your bone.

passed along by danny. totally awesome metal versions of holiday songs. the hanukkah is priceless. apparently they were inspired by danny’s musical feat of christmas genius from last year.
sex v. internet
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/12/15/internet.sex.survey/index.html
i was sent this link tonight. and i must wholeheartedly back the findings. we had no internet at work this morning, and no email for most of the day. it was a museum-wide system failure, not only limited to the computers but also voicemail and databases and share drives. but most importantly it was the computers that did me in. boo...
building collapse
a building collapsed around the corner from my house this afternoon. this is where i walk pippin most mornings. apparently they shut down the whole neighborhood for the afternoon. there was scaffolding all over the street and they shut down the 4/5/6 for a bit.

i would think that throwing a show at someone is considered insulting in more cultures than just the Arabic one.

buster
i am almost done with season three of arrested development. and i just wanted to point out that i noticed that buster and i have the same mobile in our room. its from ikea. awesome.
prop 8 video
so i had been avoiding watching the prop 8 video that has been circling the interwebs for the past week or so. something about it bothered me, though i couldn’t quite pinpoint why. maybe it was because they should’ve made this 2 months ago, and not just assumed people would do the right thing at the polls. but i digress.
i finally watched it because i found out that neil patrick...
art museum toilet
i thought this article on buzzfeed was going to be a rehash of what i already knew about this site. it got passed around our department (and subsequently the counsel’s office) as they clearly rip off our site. quite the parody.
anyway, the reason i am sharing it now, is because i found out it is housed in worcester, ma! nothing like some hometown pride to soften my hatred of this site.

cup prank
i can’t decide what i like more about this- the prank itself, or the people arguing in the comments using mathematical equations…

justin on snl, again
i had saturday night live on in the background. i thought it was still the commercials. then i caught the lyrics of the song playing. blah blah blah and then i jizzed in my pants. i look up and jamie lynn sigler is in a grocery store and there is justin timberlake, attending to a cleanup in aisle three. why don’t they just make that guy a featured played and get it over with already?
holiday party #1
last night was our department holiday party. we’re going to have another party at work and invite other work people, but this one was just for us. it was way up in the bronx, at sam’s new house. we got peruvian food. we listened to records. then everyone left.
i, on the other hand (and maybe against my better judgment), still had a 24oz bud light in the fridge, and had suffered a...
